Current Position
 Lamia Kamel is the managing director and cofounder of Corporate Communications Plus a young and dynamic PR agency that started in 2006. The company portfolio includes several regional and international companies in Egypt serving in the telecommunication and networks like Etisalat Ericsson, TE Data and Orbit. Her areas of expertise include Media & Government Relations, internal communication, Corporate Social Responsibility consultancy and crisis management.
Prior History
Lamia enjoyed a dynamic corporate working experience in Vodafone during the giant's start up in Egypt. She started and managed all the company media relations, crisis management sponsorship and social responsibility programs. Kamel started the idea of initiating a "press club" for the company, aiming at building solid networks with the media. She was also the team leader working on the currently names “Vodafone Foundation" The idea is running successfully and is implemented in various organizations.
Lamia then moved to the consultancy side where she worked with PETRONAS, the major Malaysian oil and Gas Company, American Insurance Group and ICTDAR, the United Nations development Program specialized in the development of ICT in the Arab world. She is also a renowned professor at Misr International University and a strategy consultant working with large local Egyptian companies via the IMC program to help specify gaps and enable those companies achieve international quality standards.
Other Information
Lamia Kamel received her bachelor and Masters Degree in Business administration from the American University in Cairo. She received extensive training in developing creative PR campaigns and Crisis Management in London; UK. |
